The Architecture Foundation of British Columbia (AFBC) is launching a new False Creek Walking Tour! Please join us to visit significant architecture, urban sites and public art that define Vancouver's beautiful inlet. We will also discuss how False Creek has transformed from an industrial hub to a world-class waterfront.
Meeting Spot:
Please meet at David Lam Park (1300 Pacific Boulevard as seen on Google Maps) at the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and Drake Avenue.
Tour Route:
We will start at David Lam Park, make our way along the scenic False Creek seawall, cross the Cambie Bridge, and conclude in the Olympic Village
Duration:
This tour will take approximately 2 hours.
Accessibility:
This tour will involve intense walking and standing for the entire duration of the tour. This route will also involve descending stairs but no stair climbing required.
Important notes:
-Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the tour
-There will be extended walking and standing for the full duration of the tour
-We ask you leave pets and strollers at home
-Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
-The tour will be offered rain or shine! If we do get some liquid sunshine, rain jackets are preferred to umbrellas due to group size and navigating the sidewalks
