Inspired by the Italian tradition of aperitivo, After Hours brings Vancouver’s design community together for an evening of conversation, sound, and informal exchange.

Held within the Cesar Vancouver showroom, the space is reimagined as a listening bar—where curated sound, hospitality, and gathering set the tone for connection. Pop-ups by VinVan and Mimi’s Focaccia anchor the experience in shared table culture, encouraging guests to slow down and engage beyond the work.

In response to Design Vancouver Festival’s 2026 theme, BUILD, the evening reflects on how design culture is shaped not only through the spaces we create, but through the relationships we form within them.

Rooted in Italian design sensibility and everyday hospitality, After Hours offers an intentional pause within the festival—an open setting for exchange across Vancouver’s design community.
