HDR
We are a 100% employee-owned, global design firm that fuses architecture, engineering, and environmental services. We are an integrated, multidisciplinary practice dedicated to creating places and spaces that elevate experiences and create lasting impact. We are passionate about projects that bolster community and societal well-being towards creating more holistic, integrated solutions. We are committed to making an equitable and carbon-positive future a reality to address the climate crisis head-on.
SuperTall Studio
As part of HDR’s Open Studio, and in collaboration with the UBC School of Architecture & Landscape Architecture, visitors will have the opportunity to see a special exhibit of research, public engagement and ideas on supertall towers and their impact to the urban fabric of cities. In the context of the City of Vancouver’s Higher Buildings Policy Review, and running concurrently with the International Vancouver Tall Challenge Ideas Competition, this exhibit will share the investigative and creative work being undertaken by the UBC SALA SuperTall Studio (lead by Matthieu Grady and Sara Stevens), and will include an abridged version of the City of Vancouver’s exhibition held previously at the Vancouver Lookout engaging the public on what the possible future of supertall towers in the City could mean.
