JAN KATH is internationally renowned for his contemporary approach to the centuries-old tradition of hand-knotted rugs, combining innovative design with exceptional materials and craftsmanship. At Finlay and Kath Inc., we work closely with architects, designers and clients to customize design, colour and materials for each project.

Our Open Studio invites guests behind the scenes for an immersive look at how modern design meets ancient craft in the making of our hand-knotted rugs. From custom colour development, material selection, design and sampling to the centuries-old craft of hand-knotting, the installation reveals the creativity, skill and time behind each piece.
