Reuse, Don’t Build is an evening panel event explores how adaptive reuse and circular design can make reuse—not replacement—the default approach to city-building. As cities face increasing pressure to grow sustainably, existing buildings present an opportunity to reduce waste, lower carbon emissions, and preserve cultural heritage.
Drawing inspiration from Paris's PLU Bioclimatique, a policy framework that prioritizes retention and limits demolition, this panel discussion will examine how adaptive reuse and circularity can shape more resilient communities. Join us as we explore the question: Could Vancouver do the same?
