Creative growth doesn't happen at the milestones. It happens in everything that comes between them. Those spaces are full of learning, growth and uncertainty. And for many people, they're navigated largely alone.

The Creative Shift: Building Between Milestones is a half-day public gathering at Emily Carr University that makes space for the parts of creative growth that don't usually get talked about. Open to anyone at any stage of their creative life.

The day opens with a candid panel, Things We Figured Out Along the Way, where creatives from diEerent disciplines and career stages speak about the parts of their practice they had to navigate without a roadmap. Then a small-group workshop, Where Are You Right Now?, where participants work through prompts individually first, then share openly with their peers. Others reflect back not with advice but with where they are in relation to the same question. You leave with something real.

Throughout the event and after, the ECU campus is open. Conversations that start in the panel or workshop don't have to end there. The time is yours to connect, explore, and keep talking.
