Leather is one of the most enduring materials we own, but without proper care, even the finest pieces can crack, fade, and lose their character over time.

In this intimate two-hour workshop, Vancouver designer and maker Andrea Wong walks you through the essential practices of leather care: cleaning away dirt and buildup, water stain removal, conditioning to restore suppleness, repainting scuffed or worn surfaces, and making basic repairs that bring beloved pieces back to life.

Participants are encouraged to bring a leather item from their own collection, whether a favourite bag, wallet, belt, jacket, or even a leather object from the home such as drawer pulls or leather cushion, and leave with it visibly refreshed.

The session also includes a short talk by Andrea on why she has dedicated her design career to natural material and slow-process design, and why caring for what we already own is one of the most powerful acts of sustainable living.

An intimate setting of just 10 participants ensures personal guidance throughout.
