Design Vancouver Festival kicks off at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre with a special PechaKucha edition. PechaKucha has always celebrated the people, ideas, and stories shaping Vancouver’s creative community. What better way to start the festival than by bringing those voices together on one of the city’s largest stages?
The Work Behind the Work
For the Love of Craft explores the care, process, skill, and the devotion it takes to make work that matters.
Following the PechaKucha format of 20 images shown for 20 seconds each, every speaker will focus on one project, one idea, or one part of their practice. Rather than presenting a broad portfolio, they will share the materials, decisions, repetition, challenges, and discoveries behind the finished work.
In a culture driven by speed, this is an invitation to slow down and recognize the value of skill, patience, and creative commitment.
